WE ARE COMMITTED TO TECHNOLOGY
EcoRobotics is a specialized technology company that employs robotic technology for the safe, efficient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly removal of bulk materials, solids, and sludge from confined spaces. Our remote-controlled technology is also used for vessel wash-down and returning the unit to service, all while eliminating the need for human entry into confined space. Our cleaning systems are engineered to remove waste more effectively than human crews and can work non-stop across shifts even in hazardous environments.
The first Robotic Cleaning System (RCS) was created in 2009, and in 2012 the system completed its first industrial cleaning operation for a major oil and gas refinery along the Gulf Coast. Numerous successful engineering projects involving a variety of applications led to a cleaning contract in 2017 to eliminate confined space entry for one of the world’s largest chemical companies.
In 2018, EcoRobotics launched as a stand-alone company to focus on RCS technology for bulk material removal and vessel cleaning, changing industrial cleaning forever. In 2024, HPC Industrial acquired the EcoRobotics fleet, enhancing our dedication to safety and expanding our service capabilities across the U.S.
Our Robotic Cleaning Solution
At HPC Industrial, it’s our mission to produce technology that helps companies save money and mitigate risks related to industrial cleaning and bulk waste removal. Our RCS utilizes a visual programming language (VPL) that allows our teams to complete the work of an entire crew of human workers in a fraction of the time. Being remote controlled, our robotic decontamination processes are also intrinsically safe and completely eliminate the need for confined space entry.
Starting with the H5 Robot, our team continues to expand the scope of our research and development to help our clients more efficiently deal with the range of cleaning projects they manage. Our robotic solutions are currently equipped to deal with most situations, from clean-product tank projects to heavy sludge removal of hazardous or non-hazardous material.

A SMARTER APPROACH TO TANK CLEANING & SLUDGE REMOVAL
At HPC Industrial we go well beyond the industry standard by approaching cleaning challenges differently than our competition. Our tank-cleaning and sludge removal processes are flexible enough to meet any operation’s needs and are constantly improving to help our clients create cost savings while boosting efficiency and safety. Our customers typically see a 20% to 25% reduction in cost when compared to traditional cleaning programs, thanks in part to the RCS that can deliver 1250 PSI at 60 gallons a minute. The electric-over-hydraulic system is safe and allows your human crews to remotely manage the process. Industry initiatives are calling for an end to confined-space entry by 2025, and with the EcoRobotics fleet, we are well on our way to meeting that goal.
Our sludge removal robotic technology is designed to fit through a 24” manway so no matter the confined space entry, we can complete the task safely. Our RCS operates inside the tank on full hydraulic power, managed by an external mobile control center, keeping the robots running shift after shift with no down time. The entire RCS operates out of a 40-foot shipping container and can be set up in as little as 2 hours, so EcoRobotics is ready to begin the cleaning project without delay.
CLEAN & REFINED PRODUCT TANKS EcoRobotics technology can service any size tank, while effectively addressing a range of internal tank conditions like elevated LEL, extreme pH conditions, chemical intermediates, custom-lined tanks and more. We’re able to help our clients reduce tank “out of service” costs and improve tank availability. Cleaning Operations

SLUDGE & RESIDUE REMOVAL Our robotic technology is designed to remove sludge from tanks, sumps, basins, ditches and pipelines while minimizing waste generation and reducing material processing and disposal costs. Our technology’s typical bulk removal rate is 500-700 bbls per 12-hour shift and is best in class to deal with compromised vessels. Cleaning Operations

CLARIFIER TANK SLUDGE REMOVAL
• Bulk removal of sludge in clarifier tank
• Southeast Texas Petro-Chemical Plant, September 2017
• H5 Robotic System: vacuum + processing + H5 Robot
• Closed top tank – 85’ diameter x 30’ height with 24” coned floor
• Using a conventional material removal method, this project would have taken 138 days and removed 133 bbl/day and required 1383 hours of confined space entry. Using robotic systems, the project took 29 days, removed 634.5 bbl/day for a total volume of 18,400 bbls removed with no confined space entry.
